When God Is Not Your Refuge

Many years ago, I wrote that God is the only refuge for man.  If God becomes our enemy, we cannot put enough policemen on the streets to protect us.  The systematic molestation of American women and children by our "protectors" is a mark of judgment that is already upon us.

 God is the only sure refuge for the body and soul of man.  This is abundantly clear from many Scriptures.

 Psalm 52:

Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? the goodness of God endureth continually.

2  Thy tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.

3  Thou lovest evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah.

4  Thou lovest all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue.5  God shall likewise destroy thee for ever, he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of thy dwelling place, and root thee out of the land of the living. Selah.

6  The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him:

7  Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.

8  But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.

9  I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.

 Ps 59:16  But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble.

Ps 62:7  In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.

Ps 62:8  Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.

Ps 71:7  I am as a wonder unto many; but thou art my strong refuge.

Ps 91:2  I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

Ps 91:9  Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;

Ps 94:22  But the LORD is my defense; and my God is the rock of my refuge.

 Who will protect us from our self-appointed saviors?  God Himself.  But we must humble ourselves and pray, and turn from our wicked ways.
