Hmmmm?

The other day someone posted something like the following.

Three Calvinists were discussing the doctrine of God's Sovereignty when an Arminian came into the room and said, "Who wants to go with me to win some souls to Christ."

The Calvinists looked up but did not reply, but went back to their discussion.

I suppose that the author thought that would show that the Arminians had more passion for souls than the Calvinists did, and bring about a twinge of conscience.   Not so, for I do not live in that universe.  Let me redefine the universe.

Three brain surgeons were discussing the latest techniques in their profession when a newly minted intern came in with his shiny new scalpel and said, "There's a lot of bad brains out there.  Who wants to go do some brain surgery?"

Why do we think that operating on a body is harder than operating on a soul?  Why would we refuse to have an ingrown toenail removed by our hairdresser, but we will deliver our souls to every Tom, Dick, and Harry, who has read a Bible verse and has been encouraged to go out and make converts.  Converts to what?

Do you wonder why the church is so divided and without respect?  Of course, if you think that soul surgery is easy....
