Great Post from Martha
Haller
This from Martha Haller: 'We were given this hope when we
were saved. (If we already have something, we don’t need to hope for it. But if
we look forward to something we don’t yet have, we must wait patiently and
confidently.) And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we
don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with
groanings that cannot be expressed in words.' Romans 8:24-26
Thanks, Martha. Faith, Hope, Charity. Faith rests on the promises of God; Hope
lives in present enjoyment of things not yet seen but anticipated; Charity is
treating both God and Man in terms of future blessings hoped for but not yet
seen with the eyes of experience, but seen surely with the eyes of faith.
Hebrews 11:24 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called
the son of Pharaoh’s daughter; 25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the
people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; 26 Esteeming
the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had
respect unto the recompence of the reward. 27 By faith he forsook Egypt, not
fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.
You made my day this morning, Martha!
