Kinism and the Fleshly Spirit

The church is united on a verbal confession of the truth concerning Jesus Christ, not upon a carnal man. "Thou Art the Christ [Messiah], the Son of the Living God," [Matt. 16:16ff]  every word pregnant with meaning, is the foundational truth of the church: One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism.  [Eph. 4]

When the spirit of the flesh trumps the Holy Spirit, in direct denial of the rite of baptism which witnesses to a spiritual seed not of the flesh, the church becomes a tool of the family, to promote itself at the expense of the church.  The world of the New Testament is turned upside down, for the church then exists to promote the needs of the family and you hear things like, "my church, our church, my family's church, etc.," rather than the church purchased with the blood of Christ, the Church of God, the Church of the Firstborn, or even the church of Ephesus, Corinth, etc., as if the church was an adjunct of the family and strangers need not apply.

In short, the family becomes an idol rivaling the family idolatry and worship of pagans who worship their ancestors, but it is difficult to address because the idolatry is wrapped in the holy terms of "covenant" "headship" "Patriarch," disguising the idolatry and self-absorption.  A paranoia which shuts out the "world" develops as the attention shifts more and more to me and mine.

The sinful family covers and protects members from church discipline, covering sins, hiding evidence and often become bullies that mistreat other people and driving them from the church. The error that the flesh trumps the spirit is at the core of this heresy for they do not understand the implication of Abraham building his house upon the promise of God and the son of the Promise rather than the children of the flesh. It is wicked and presumptuous to think that all the children of the flesh are the children of promise and the elect of God. Ye must be born again is still the operative message of the church, no matter what semen produced you.

But woe unto that preacher who gives the slightest indication that he suspects that the children of the patriarchs or even the patriarchs themselves, by their works demonstrate that they know nothing of God or the life of the Spirit.  Remember, they are family, even if they don't believe any thing that the church teaches.  Semen trumps the incorruptible seed of the Word of God.  1Peter 1:22 "Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:  Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever."  The soul is purified by regeneration not carnal conception.
