1 For, behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, doth take away from Jerusalem and from Judah the stay and the staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water, 2 The mighty man, and the man of war, the judge, and the prophet, and the prudent, and the ancient, 3 The captain of fifty, and the honorable man, and the counselor, and the cunning artificer, and the eloquent orator. 4 And I will give children to be their princes, and babes shall rule over them. 5 And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbor: the child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient, and the base against the honorable. --Isaiah 3:1-5
What is a godly man to do in such a day. The answer is in
verses ten and eleven:
10 Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall
eat the fruit of their doings. 11 Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill
with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.
Although the ungodly think that there is no no difference between the man who
builds his house on the rock and the man who builds on the sand, God's mind has
not changed and the difference between them remain and their end is different.
Though children rule over the people of god, that does not make the
boy-children wise rulers. Fools are fools no matter how many people fawn and
say, "It is the voice of a god!"
1Th 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then
sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and
they shall not escape. 1Thess. 5:3
What shall the righteous do? continue to believe and act in terms of the truth:
It shall be well with the righteous and it will not be well with the
unrighteous. Sodom is still Sodom and the brimstone is coming; Babylon is still
Babylon and is fallen, is fallen: Hell is still Hell and its end is the Lake of
Fire.
11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon
him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make
war. 12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many
crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. 13
And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The
Word of God. 14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon
white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. 15 And out of his
mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he
shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the
fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 And he hath on his vesture and
on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. Revelation
19:11-16.
